Talofa and Welcome to the Samoa Hotel Association Corporate Website!

Since 2001, the Samoa Hotels Association (SHA) has been the leading industry body for the tourism sector.
SHA is a Non-Governmental Industry Association supported by a strong membership base who shares common interests, goals and objectives for tourism and accommodation standards in Samoa. Our membership base covers a wide range of accommodation providers starting from traditional beach fales and budget accommodation, right through to luxury resorts and hotels, as well as tour operators and a range of tourism-related businesses and organisations.
SHA manages an online booking system for its members (www.samoahotels.ws) and undertakes marketing activities on behalf of the association.
We work to develop the skills and knowledge of the industry through workshop facilitation and support with over 40 capacity building workshops coordinated for the industry to date - with many more scheduled to come.
SHA is also responsible for the facilitation and administration of donor funded projects managing in excess of SAT$2 million tala made possible by the Government of Samoa and as well as development partners including the New Zealand Aid Programme, European Union and other agencies such as the International Finance Corporation. Due to its success in managing such projects, SHA was the focal point for the Tourism Tsunami Rebuilding Program (TTRP) which was successfully completed January 2013 and the present focal point for the Tourism Cyclone Recovery Programme (TCRP) which was launched March 2013 and expected to wind up in 2016.
We also work to deliver timely and relevant communication to industry.
Overall, SHA's charter is to:

  • Represent & Advocate for industry issues
  • Training & Capacity Building for Members
  • Assistance with funding applications
  • Online booking system
  • Dissemination of relevant industry information
  • Networking & Business opportunities
